With the new month Readingwiizard's Sping Bingo is over and I wanted to do a wrap up and talk a little about this experience.
I completed three rows and read a total of 11 books despite the fact that only 7 counted for the bingo.
🌷 A book by Jane Austen - I did read a few pages of Pride and Prejudice but I realized that I will only be able to finish that book reading bits from time to time.
🌷A book under 200 pages* - I read The Hunted Castle from the Geronimo Stilton series.
🌷Read with a view* - I completed this category reading a bit of Predinkanten by Camilla Läckberg with a view to a field with goats. 😂
🌷A book that will make you smile* - Heartstopper Volume 2 by Alice Oseman completed this category.
🌷Listen to an audiobook on a walk - I don't like audiobooks very much but my initial plan was to listen to Sadie by Courtney Summers, and I thought about listen to a bit of it on a walk around the block. There was no walk and no audiobook.🙃
🌷Read in bed* - I almost always read in bed so this one was like first box checked.👍
🌷 Read a book mostly outside* - Last day of the bingo and I was catching some sun, chilling on our inflatable pool and had that summer feeling so I picked Heartstopper Volume 3 by Alice Oseman and read half of it chilling outside. Result: a sunburn!
🌷A plant on the cover* - The Last Night Out by Catherine O'Connell has trees on its cover so I used it for this one.
🌷A children's book* - I read The Hunted Castle from the Geronimo Stilton series.
🌷A book with yellow on the cover* - True Letters From a Fictional Life was for a while on my tbr and I was really looking forward to read it and well it has a yellow cover.
🌷 A book with an insect on a cover* - Middle of May, anxious Joana aka me wants to make bingo, I was using Scribd for a free month and decided to search there for books that completed this prompt, there were fantasy books which I tought I was in the mood for, but oh lord I was so not, I read one chapter of Tithe (Modern Faerie Tales #1) by Holly Black and was like nop, then there were poetry books, small, would be perfect. I don't like poetry very much, and I think it isn't recommendable at all to try to read one of those at once so I did DNF Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur after 1 poem and Mariposas Rotas by Violet Pollux after 3 ... I was in the mood for thrillers but the ones with an insect on the cover like The Whisper Man by Alex North would be too difficult to read in English so I gave up on that challenge until I came across Bad Girls With Perfect Faces by Lynn Weingarten, it was a 2,5 stars read but when I picked it it seemed just like what I wanted at that moment.
🌷 A poem* - I read quite a few poems on my quest for books for certain categories but honesty they did not have any impact on me so I considered Villanelle by R.A.Leigthon that is on Vera Brittain's memoir. I read it in the beggining of May after finishing one more re watch of Testament of Youth.

🌷 Read in your garden* - I actually completed this one reading Pride and Prejudice.
🌷 A book that is first in a series* - The Academy - Introductions by C.L. Stone, first book I read in May, 1 star, was a disaster but was for free as ebook and the first half was like one of those bad fanfics one can't stop reading, and the second half despite being so awful I needed to know one thing and I don't DNF books at that point so I did finish it.
🌷 A book with friendship* - True Letters From a Fictional Life by Kenneth Logan, btw was a 4 stars read.
🌷A book with green on the cover* - True Letters From a Fictional Life by Kenneth Logan once again.
🌷 A book about art - I wished I had completed this category but all the art books I owned and was interested in were too big and I just wasn't in the mood.
🌷Read in the sun* - When reading Pride and Prejudice on the garden.
🌷A play - At the beggining of the month I wanted to re read Falar A Verdade A Mentir by Almeida Garrett for this category but when I finished the first books of the month I just wasn't in the mood anymore. Maybe another time, I would've liked to read Doll House by Ibsen too, it seemed a nice book.
🌷A short story* - I read two actually, from Tales of Terror from the Tunnel's Mouth by Chris Priestley.
🌷Read during sunset* - I completed this one while reading The Last Night Out.
🌷A book with a flower in the title - Another one that drove me crazy, I searched a lot, but nothing catched my interest.
🌷An audiobook - Like I said Sadie was the plan but did not happen.
🌷A book that reminds you of spring - They all reminded me of winter, autumn, summer, no season, i don't know, there was not a single book I read that had spring vibes.
* COMPLETED CHALLENGS !!!
Books I read that did not fit in any category:
Let´s get back to middle May, my desperate self wanting to complete every single category. But I had the free month of Scribd and actually I wanted to read some YA stuff and well I picked up book after book, and did an exercise to not care if it fitted a category or not because we should read because we like, what we like, and this was just a fun challenge, so I started with Playlist For The Dead by Michelle Falkoff (3 stars), then I read History Is All You Left Me by Adam Silvera (5 stars) that I loved so fucking much. Then I was in the mood to one of my favourite categories on books, series, films, YA mystery, better if we are talking about popular kids with dark secrets, melody to my ears, first I read Cracked Up To Be by Courtney Summers (4 stars), then This Lie Will Kill You by Chelsea Pitcher (3 stars) and lastly Bad Girls With Perfect Faces that actually fitted on a category. I ended up adding so many ya mysteries to my tbr, is quite a shame they weren't avaible on Scribd.
Well and that's it. Now in June I'll be participating on the Make Your Myth Taker readathon and will probably make a post about it later.
Happy June! ☀
