Hello August! It's time for the Readingwiizard's Summer Bingo wrap up! There were three bingos available and of course I chose the 'at the seaside' one.
I almost got a full board since I only failed one prompt (to read outside for an hour).
π Author from another country - All books I read this month are from non-portuguese authors so any could count for this category but since The Nazi Officer's Wife by Edith Hahn Beer was the first book I read in July I counted that one.
π A book under 100 pages - Breakfast at Tiffany's by Truman Capote because my edition of this book has 96 pages.
π Friend pick - I chose 4 books that had two-word titles and asked my friends to choose one, they decided on Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson.
π Two-word title - My friend pick from a group of four two-word title books: Truly Devious.
π Read 40 pages in one sitting - The Nazi Officer's Wife by Edith Hahn Beer, I just layed on my bed devoring this incredible story.
π Read on the beach - One of my favourite things in life is reading on the beach, I was reading The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater when I went to the beach this month.
π An old favourite - I chose one book from my Geronimo Stilton collection: Cat and Mouse in a Haunted House.
π A book with water on the cover - And So It Begins by Rachel Abbott, a very interesting thriller that I finally read.
π Treasure - La Porta Del Tempo by Ulysses Moore, because they are looking for a treasure.
π A non-fiction - The Nazi Officer's Wife by Edith Hahn Beer, definitely worth it, 4 big stars!
π A book with blue on the cover - And So It Begins by Rachel Abbott.
π One book in one day - Breakfast at Tiffany's, since it was less than 100 pages was super fast to read, took me just a few hours.
π Mythical creatures - Cat and Mouse in a Haunted House by Geronimo Stilton or The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater.
π A book with courage - The Nazi Officer's Wife because obviously Edith was a very brave woman.
π A book with a bird on the cover - The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater, a very pleasant surprise, 4.5 stars and I am crazy to read the next book.
π A translated book - The Nazi Officer's Wife was the first translated book I read in July but I could refer Murder On The Orient Express or A Murder is Announced both by Agatha Christie.
π Read with a view - I think I considered this prompt completed when I read Breakfast at Tiffany's on my balcony with a gorgeous sunset to look at.
π Read a short story - I read one story from the book Tales of Terror from the Tunnel's Mouth by Chris Priestley.
π Published before 2000s - The Nazi Officer's Wife by Edith Hahn Beer or Breakfast At Tiffany's by Truman Capote.
π Watch a "book to movie" adaptation - After finishing the book I re watched Breakfast at Tiffany's, I liked it more than the first time but I still think it isn't a great film.
π A book set in the current - And So It Begins by Rachel Abbott.
π A book from the south - La Porta Del Tempo by Ulysses Moore because is Italian, is on south of Portugal so a book from the south.
π A reread - Cat and Mouse in a Haunted House by Geronimo Stilton.
And that's a wrap, now I am not reading very much but I think it will change soon. Have a nice August ☀
