random photo from my holidays on 2019 but there's me in a cute house |
Hi everyone, today I bring you something I found the other day in White Rose Stories blog, the STAY AT HOME BOOK TAG, I thought it would be funny to do since I've been reading quite a lot.
1. LAYING IN BED - a book you read in one day ✨
I've been reading books in like 1/2 days which is really crazy for me since I've always been a slow reader, but Heartstopper being a graphic novel takes things to the 'reading in one hour' level. I already read the first two volumes, and the third arrived today and I am so in love! It's such a funny, cute and important read.
2. SNACKING - a book that is a 'guilty pleasure' read ✨
The King's Men (All for the game #3) by Nora Sakavic - 5 ★
Instead of one, I'll give you three, the All for the game trilogy. This books took over my heart, mind and soul however I know objectively they aren't masterpieces, so I guess they classify as guilty pleasures, but I love them nevertheless. I want to have them phisically and then dedicate an entire instagram post to this trilogy. I have to say, the characters belong to my heart forever, there are bunchs of trigger warnings and it gets better book after book, like the third is definitely the best book in the trilogy.
3. NETFLIX - a series that you want to start ✨
I've been having an eye on these books for a while now, because it has this unique format with files and all that, but I prefer to read it in portuguese and the translated version is quite expensive but I really want to get into this series.
4. DEEP CLEAN - a book that has been on your TBR for ages ✨
I have others that are on my tbr for a longer time but I really want to read this one, especially now that there is a film on netflix based on it. I have this book for like 2 years and honestly I have no idea why I haven't read it yet.
5. ANIMAL CROSSING - a book you recently bought because of the hype ✨
Is not always easy but I try to dont't let the hype around a certain book making me buy it or not. I try to not buy a book that doesn't interest me just beacuse of the hype and I also try to not stop buying a book because it is everywhere. To not repeat Heartstopper I guess the last book I bought that caught my eye because of the hype was A Gentleman in Moscow that I bought back in january. I am really looking forward to get in the mood to read it.
6. PRODUCTIVITY - a book you learned from or had an impact on you ✨
Oh lord, this book had a huuuuugeeeee impact on me, I cried so much, I felt so many feelings, I suffered but I loved every second of it (?) I read it online and really want to buy a physical copy because omg, I'll never forget this book. It is that impactful.
7. FACETIME - a book you were gifted ✨
My parents gifted me this book on my birthday (6th of March). I missed the old days when I was crazy about witches and when I saw these books I tought it was exactly what I was looking for. Now that I remember it, this book was the first thing that arrived at my home while on quarantine and my mom was already super careful but in that moment I was a kid and didn't care that it was a package that came from outside on virus times and took with me to my bed to open it, everything turned alright, so ... ! ;)
8. SELF-CARE - what is one thing you have done recently to look after yourself ✨
My mental health is so over the place and I really don't know if I am doing enough or too much for myself. But one thing I know that makes me feel on the top of the world, and feels my heart with joy so I have been doing a lot these times is dancing, just put spotify on and dance like crazy, it makes me feel incredibly.
BONUS - an upcoming release you are looking forward to ✨

I usually only find out about the existence of a certain book after its release, and unfortunatly I haven't read One of is Next already but I loved One of Us is Lying and Two Can Keep A Secret so much that I want to read everything Karen M.McManus writes so I just found out this one and yes!!!
Kisses, Joana
